IT for a Cause was founded to provide high quality internet-based services at a reduced price in order to help companies and individuals that are doing good within the world. In particular we are looking to help non-profit organizations, churches, healthcare providers, government agencies, volunteer groups, institutes of learning, and even for-profit organizations as long as the project helps society in some way.
The founder of IT for a Cause has been an IT professional for over 11 years and during this time he has developed many internet-based solutions ranging from small brochureware sites for mom & pops all the way to enterprise-class internet applications for Fortune 500 companies. Working for large companies really helps improve your abilities as an IT professional however the most gratifying projects were ones that were developed to help people regardless of the size of the project.
The idea is simple. It feels great to help people. We could volunteer to build houses, serve food at a shelter, or clean up after a natural disaster, however we would not be utilizing our talents to the fullest. With IT for a Cause our aim is to combine our talent with good causes to make the biggest impact that we can with our abilities.
To that end we wanted to start a company where we can focus on projects that focus on good causes.
